¨  Mentoring: Works with school staff to provide a mentor program for younger students. (Chair: Stacey Patterson)

 

¨  Environmental Health/Recycling: Responsible for organizing the recycling of newspapers, white paper, and printer cartridges to better our environment and raise money for our school. (Chair: Angie Cos and Susan Bradshaw

 

¨  Family Events: Plans and organizes Crabapple Lane Family events, such as spirit nights at local restaurants and Seasonal Family Events such as the Fall Carnival, Spring Carnival or Teacher Talent Show.  This committee has co-chairs for each specific event. (Co-Chairs: Julie Lane/Jenny Humbard)

 

¨  Grounds: Helps to maintain and enhance our grounds, including the courtyard and playground.  Assists with the coordination of new capital equipment installations, such as installation of new playground equipment, benches, etc.  (Chair: Deborah Llewellyn)

 

¨  Ice Cream Sales: Responsible for selling ice cream in the cafeteria on a daily basis.  The coordinator will make a schedule so members can work once a week or every other week. (Chair: Ellen Smith)

 

¨  Innisbrook Fall Fundraiser: Responsible for the planning, promoting and implementation of this fundraiser of Innisbrook Gift Wrap. (Co-Chairs: Lisa Chang/Julie Lane)    

 

¨  Media Center: Responsible for assisting in the Media Center (library); duties include administrative work, re-shelving books, preparing for special events and working the Book Fairs. (Chair: Sarah Beth West)

 

¨  “Original Artworks” Art Program: The Original Art Works program reproduces a student’s artwork into keepsakes for purchase. This committee is responsible for coordinating and promoting this fundraiser. (Chair: Sonya Snyder)

 

¨  Passive Fundraising: Responsible for reviewing and evaluating company sponsored saving programs the school uses, along with promoting, collecting, and managing the incentive programs themselves (General Mills Box tops, Pike receipts, etc.).  (Chair: Margaret Bowers)

 

¨  Pre-Packaged School Supplies: Responsible for coordinating the orders for pre-packaged school supplies and distribution on “Meet the Teacher Day.”  (Chair: Jenny Humbard; Mary Uszynski 2009-2010)

 

¨  Red Bird Run: Responsible for planning, organizing and running our annual “Red Bird Run” fundraiser, a 5K and 1 mile fun run.  (Co-Chairs: Emily Hall & Kim Archbold)

 

¨  Running Club: Responsible for organizing volunteers to monitor students who participate in Running Club each morning before school.  Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 7:20 am. (Chair: NEEDED)

 

¨  School Directory: Coordinates and promotes all aspects of the School Directory. (Chair: Megan Millians; Committee member: Wiebke Gentzke)

 

¨  Spirit Wear: Work with vendors selecting spirit wear items; responsible for sale and distribution of items.  Provide volunteer support to sell items at school functions. (Chair: Kristen Eckman)

 

¨  Staff Appreciation: Recognizes Crabapple Lane staff on their birthdays, appreciation days and other special events.  (Co-Chairs: Stacey Mason and Jill Mitchell)

 

¨  Signage: Changes the sign outside CLE as needed based on direction from Assistant Principal.  (Chair: Sandy Pitcher)

 

¨  Room Parent Coordinator: Communicates school and PTO needs to room parents.  This position requires someone comfortable with email communications. (Chair: Cheryl Pyshos)
